At Eagle Point in New Mexico, Western Star recently added another past-producing tungsten asset to its portfolio.
For investors, the point is not whether Western Star is supplying Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, RTX, General Dynamics, Boeing or SpaceX. The point is that tungsten sits far upstream from the advanced systems those companies build.
That makes Western Star a small public company working in a critical-minerals category tied to a much larger industrial and defense supply-chain theme.
The next items to watch are straightforward: exploration results, geophysical interpretation, soil geochemistry, permitting progress, Phase 2 planning and future target generation.
Tungsten may not have the same retail-investor recognition as lithium, copper, uranium or rare earths.
But if defense supply chains, U.S. resource security and advanced manufacturing remain in focus, tungsten deserves more attention.
